Saturday, March 8th we will be hosting an Oldies Review! Knights to Remember will be here to entertain you and it will be a night not to miss! See website for full details.

The ALR will be serving a meatloaf dinner that evening so plan on coming early and grabbing some dinner.

Our volunteers are the life blood of our American Legion. Without them this Post would not survive and we are forever grateful to them! But the truth is we are can always use more help.

Stop on by the Post on Saturday Night for a new type of raffle, "The Queen of Diamonds" will be played every Saturday at 7pm.

TODAY - Tuesday, March 4th
Join us to celebrate Fat Tuesday! Danny will be serving up a Mardi Gras themed meal and we will have a special cocktail that is our twist on a Hurricane! Special props if you come in costume!
We might even have beads for you if you stop on by!

Attention all Volunteers....
The key to our success rest in members like you, who embody the spirit of greatness by saying " Yes I can, and so can you!". Thank you for your inspiring dedication and for being a tremendous example for our Post.

Please allow us to say thank you for your help over the past year. This Post could not accomplish all that we do without members like you. Please join us for the volunteer lunch and allow us to show our appreciation.

Post 129 would like to honor those K-9's who have served and who continue to serve. We are asking our wonderful members to show your support by bringing in a jar of Peanut Butter or Bag of Dog Treats on Thursday, March 13th. Every member who brings in donation will receive a special surprise.

March 13, 1942 is the official birthday of the United States K9 Corps, and so it seems only right to annually honor their service on that date. The organization that started the movement to make March 13th
officially K9 Veterans Day started right here in Jacksonville Beach.

There are no membership fees required to join this honorable undertaking, and we are not asking you to raise money for them. You see, just like those whom they seek to honor, who never asked for any-thing but love, they only seek your heart felt desire to help, and to be a voice for those deserving Veterans who have no voice.

Thursday, March 6th
Richard will be serving his full lunch menu for dinner.

The SAL is bringing back steak night!!! Get here early this dinner will sell out fast!

Saturday, March 8th - ALR
The ALR will be serving up meatloaf with mashed potatoes, roasted tomatoes, and cherry crisp for an $8 donation.

Sunday, March 9th
The Breakfast crew will be hard at work serving you up fantastic meal from 9am to noon.

Post 129 wants to help protect the K9 officers of Jacksonville Beach the same way our troops and civilian law enforcement officers are protected — by providing our working K9s with much-needed Kevlar vests. You can help us keep our working K9s safe from harm by donating on our website or participating in one of the upcoming fundraisers.

Weather you're animal owner or not, you understand how much love and devotion animals give. Dogs especially, give you 100 percent of themselves while asking for nothing in return.

The thought of putting “man’s best friend” in situations that are too dangerous for humans is hard to bear. It’s even worse when you consider that many of these dogs do not have adequate physical protection — making them vulnerable to the most harmful weapons human beings have invented.

Despite the huge investment of time and money spent training these K9s — to say nothing of the emotional investment of each dog’s handler — providing the protection they need is a challenge for cash-strapped law enforcement agencies. It’s not that they don’t care, it’s just an economic reality.

At Post 129, we care and so do lots of fellow animal lovers like you. That’s why we’re pooling our resources to protect these working local K9s who so willingly give up their lives to save the lives of others.
