American Legion Post 129

Saturday, September 10th at 10 am
An American Legion monument will be placed at the Jacksonville National Cemetery at 10 am, Saturday, September 10.

The marker was ordered and paid for by 5th District, to which Post 372 belongs. All members and their families are invited to this monument dedication.

The monthly ALR meeting has temporary been moved to the first Tuesday of the month.

All ALR members are encouraged to attend tonight's meeting at 7 pm.

This Saturday,

Christy will be serving dinner of Cornish game hens served with rice pilaf for only $7.

The American Legion Riders, Chapter 129, Jacksonville Beach will be hosting our 4th Annual Poker Run. Our fundraising efforts will benefit Heroes on the Water. For more information please visit our website by clicking ont he below link.

On Tuesday, September 13th at 10 am their will be a ceremony at the Nation Guard Armory where the Governor will be honoring Floridians who have served with the Governor’s Veterans Service Award. For more information please click on the below link.

The 2017 Membership Cards are Available!!!

Now is the time to renew! The Post adjutant will be available Thursday through Saturday from 5 pm to 7 pm to renew all Legion members.

Auxiliary members can renew by contacting Wanda Brandt, SAL members should contact Terry Stickles.

Remember occasionally around the Post you will be asked to show your card to a staff member or officer when this happens please be prepared to show it proudly.

Sunday Wing Night 5:30 to 7:30, 8 Wings for a $6 donation or Shrimp Basket for a $6 donation. Our menu may change from time to time depending on the availability of our main cooks

There will be a seminar on Thursday, September 15th at 630 pm held at Post 129 on ways to quit smoking. There is no cost to attend this event. Please sign up in the canteen if you are planning to attend.

We are still looking for volunteers to help with our upcoming Croaker Tournament. To find out how you can help plan on attending one of the upcoming planning meetings. The next meeting will be held on Sept 14th at 630 pm.

Attention all Legion Members: It has been determined that the Post will vote in the October Legion meeting on whether or not to continue to be a smoking facility. The vote will take place on Thursday, October 6th at the regular Legion meeting at 730 pm. All Legionnaires are encouraged to attend and place there vote.

Please join us in our American Legion Post 129 Saturday golf. It is a nine hole captains choice/best ball theme. We now have over 40 players signed up to play on Saturday Mornings. We would love to have you join us.
