The Latest News, Events, and Menus for the Week -
September 29th to October 5th

A new dart league will be forming on Tuesday, September 29th. Registration begins at 6 pm. This will be a 10 week session.

Richard Hansberg has been running this league for 53 consecutive season since we started in the fall of 1998. Along the way he has published over 698 weekly newsletters and has put in countless hours of volunteer time. We are blessed to have members like Richard that are so committed to this Post. Next time you see him let him know how much all of his hard work means to us.

The American Legion Riders, Chapter 129 in conjunction with the Home Depot Foundation and Beaches Habitat for Humanity will be hosting our 3rd Annual Fun Run.

We will be raising funds to supply materials and labor for a local beaches disabled veteran who is in need of increased functionality and repairs of his home. Miller’s Ale House will be providing food at the end of the run.

Starting on October 9^th we host our annual Croaker tournament. All fishermen are encouraged to participate in this wonderful event, but remember you do not have to have a boat to register.

Many of us have participated in this event in the past without ever once touch a fishing rod. The raffles and the fish fry make your cost of registration more than worth it! Even if you do not register for the event you are not going to want to miss the fish fry on Sunday, October 11^thso mark your calendars!

Football season is here! We are still looking for volunteers to cook. We would like to make sure that there is food EVERY Sunday for the football games but in order to do so we need your help!

You can cook whatever you like and donate the money to whichever Legion organization you would like. There is a signup sheet on the kitchen board. Please think about which day you would like to volunteer and then sign up!

Please join us in our American Legion Post 129 Saturday golf. It is a nine hole captains choice/best ball theme. We now have over 40 players signed up to play on Saturday Mornings. We would love to have you join us.

Starting on Monday, October 12th the Monday Night Trivia will be run by Fast Jax Trivia. Come on up and check it out!

The fall softball season has begun! Our next game will be this Sunday, October 4th against Post 283 at Buck Park at 11 am. Come on up and cheer on our team!

Friday, October 2nd – Auxiliary Dinner
Seafood lasagna served with salad, bread, and dessert for only $8.

Saturday, October 3rd – ALR Poker Run

Sunday, October 4th – Breakfast 9am to Noon
