Please join us in our American Legion Post 129 Saturday golf.  It is a nine hole captains choice/best ball theme.  We play at Jacksonville Beach Golf Course.  Our first t-time is approximately 11:15am. 

Please be at the course by 10:45 am.  Please e-mail or call Sterling if you want to play.  We all have a great time.  See you on Saturday.

This April will be a start to our 3rd year of the league
Do you want a Post 129 softball jersey? Now is the time to order. There is a order form behind the bar. Cost is $45 per jersey.  We need your name/nickname for the back of your shirt as well as your preferred number and size. We are only taking orders for a week so rush up to the Post today! 

The active duty board is up and running but I only have 5 pictures! I know we have more active duty then that here at Post 129.

If you are active duty or if you have a picture of someone who is a Post 129 member and active duty please send it to me at brandihaught31@gmail.com so I can add it to the board. Please include name as well as picture. 
Did you hear that Jacksonville now has a soccer team? Well we do! We are planning a group event to check out a game on Sunday, June 7th.

We will have a bus pick us up at Post 129 and take us down to the game so no one has to worry about driving in the city or parking. Plan on joining us this will be a trip you do not want to miss!

Cost for the ticket and the bus are only $36 per person! We only have 40 spots available and I have a feeling these are going to go fast. So run up to the Post to reserve your spot today. Payment MUST be done at time of reservation. 
Mark your calendars! Sunday, April 26th Post 129 will be holding a women's self defense class in the back hall. The class will cover safety tips as well as hands on training and last approximately three hours. Cost for this class is only $10! Please be sure to let all your female friends and family know that they are invited. You can sign up in person at the Post or click here to sign up on our website. 
Mark your calendars and plan on joining on on Saturday, May 2nd for our Derby Party!!! We are still in the planning stages but it is shaping up to be a great night with food and drink specials as well as games and steak bingo! More details to come!

The Auxiliary and your fellow Post members will be putting together a Gong Show on Saturday, May 9th. The show will begin directly after the Queen of Diamonds raffle.

There will be no tickets sold for this show instead we are asking that everyone brings a non perishable food donation to be given to BEAM, if you chose or forget to bring your food donation we are asking that you make a cash donation to the cause.

Example items need are peanut butter, cereal, or canned goods. This will be a show you will not want to miss plus you will be supporting a very worthy beach charity.

Some changes are coming to the Post 129 kitchen! In the meantime Terry is back and will be here cooking dinners for you.

No lunches this week but we are working on getting someone for next week. 

Tuesday, April 7th
Terry will be cooking up chicken fingers served with fries and dipping sauce as well as his Greek gyro dinner. 

Wednesday, April 8th
Terry will be serving up the Greek gyro dinner complete with tzatziki sauce and fries. 

Thursday, April 9th
Terry will be serving up a oven baked chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans.

Friday, April 10th - the Backtracks
The Auxiliary will be serving up a fabulous dinner. Steak Bingo will be held at 630 pm. 

 April 11th - Queen of Diamonds Raffle
The Queen of Diamonds raffle will be held at 7 pm. Tickets will be sold only until 645 pm. We had another winner last week. Congrats to Janet Brit who pulled a Joker! There are still plenty of winning cards left in the deck so come on up and try your luck! 
We at Post 129 are proud to announce that the annual Croaker tournament is back! Thank you for considering fishing with us this year. As you are aware, this tournament is not only a lot of fun and an opportunity to see long time fishing friends, but it is also a fund raiser for the American Legion to send deserving young boys and girls to our Capital to learn how our government works. It is a very exciting addition to their education. The Croaker tournament is the major source of funds for this charity. 


We are hoping to make this year's tournament the biggest and best ever. Please tell your neighbors and all of your fishing friends to please consider joining us in October.
