Witchstone Production Update

Since we came back from PAX East back in March, the team's been hard at work cleaning up and rebuilding all the game systems and mechanics that you've seen in the pre-production demo build that we've been showing around.

I thought I would share with you some of the new features that we have so far.
Many of you seem to like the idea of having to roll dice to see if an interaction with a difficulty check (intimidating or persuading an NPC, bashing doors, etc.) would pass or fail. Clearly some of you play tabletop RPGs :)

While we had a simple 2D UI for this in the demo, we've built 3D physics-based dice for the actual game! You can click on the screen to roll them or click and drag with your mouse to give them a direction too.
We now have a system that will allow us to have a large amount of active people in towns without seriously impacting the performance of the game. Though only the characters within the circle are drawn on-screen, the movements and behaviors of the characters outside are still being simulated.
And last but not least, here's a look at some of the basic weapons in the game. Do you prefer to use melee or ranged weapons?

There are also a bunch of witchstone-based weapons, such as pistols and rifles, in the works as well.

The Harbinger Lands on the Xbox One

Good news for Xbox One owners! Omensight: Definitive Edition is coming out on June 7th. Thanks to Nephilim Game Studios and Digerati for all the hard work that they put in to make this port possible.

What's Next for Spearhead Games?

We have a lot of cool things currently in the works for Project Witchstone, including a revamped work-leisure-sleep schedule system for all our NPC characters and a brand-new player HUD!
