we are back after the summer break!
Even though the international summer intensive had to be cancelled, there were a few smaller meetings, which took place.
In this Bothmer News you can have a short look at the work at the London Teacher Training and read about the summer intensives in Bucharest and in Kassel.

Online Creativity
This poem was created by the London Waldorf Teacher Seminar, who were studying Bothmer movement for six weeks with Kevin and Susan. Kevin asked the trainee teachers to look at David Newbatts picture for a few minutes and come up with a title or a few words to describe what it is telling us. We all wrote our words into the chat on zoom, and when Kevin said go we pressed enter. The words came tumbling forth giving us the beautiful creation.

SUMMER 2020
Bothmer Intensive Weeks in Bucharest and in Kassel
After the sad news of Bothmer weekends and the international summer intensive being cancelled, here is a short report about two courses that fortunately did take place:
The bmi training in Bucharest had their summer intensive 10 -13 July. Our group met every day at the outskirts of Bucharest, near a forest. We intensively researched movement using the Bothmer exercises, practiced javelin and discus throwing, challenged our creative powers with choreography and in the evenings we played softball. Above all, meeting each other again in person and doing activities together was a great pleasure and carried great benefit for everyone involved.

Two weeks later, the BMI training group met in Kassel. We were happy to welcome a few postgrads, who were on the previous course in Kassler. After the long break, the course was forced to take, the group got quickly together and the course members immersed themselves in intensive, individual and joint work. In addition to the spear and discus, there was an introduction to the art of archery as well. The theme was the connection of Bothmer gymnastics and Greek pentathlon and their significance for the physical and spiritual development of the human being.
We hope that the courses will soon be able to resume at their regular pace.
At this point it should be mentioned that on the individual weekends in Kassel all postgraduates are very welcome.
The next dates for bmi-Kassel are: August 28 - 30 2020, August 25 - 27 September 2020, October 16-18, 2020. If you are interested, please register at: monicon@web.de.
