Prayer Update for the Mission Works
of the Presbytery of Southern California

May 2019

Update from Grace OPC, Carson

Pastor Josh Lyon writes:

"Grace OP has recently seen a serious shift of families who have left California and relocated elsewhere due to the high cost of living. This loss has placed a serious burden on our financial position.

Nevertheless, we are encouraged by a handful of unbelievers who have been visiting faithfully for the past three months. Pray that God’s Spirit would convict and convert these visitors. We are actively reaching out to the Carson community by handing out door flyers with invitations to our worship service and our weekly Bible study. Pray for the success of our labors.

We are trusting in God’s providence to uphold Grace during this time of transition. Please pray for visiting families who are looking to find a close-knit church community here at Grace."

Again, thanks for your faithful prayer support of our mission works,

Yours our our Savior,

Dave Crum

Prayer Requests From Around the Presbytery

Next Month's Issue:
I'll be sending specific prayer requests from  the different mission works.

Here I want to give an update on our church plant in Corona, CA. Most of you know that we lost our church planter back in February and I asked for prayer for the continuation of that work. God answered your prayers!

On Sunday, May 19th, Andrew Canavan was ordained and installed as the new church planter for Corona OPC.
Please remember to contact me if you would like to put someone on my distribution list for the eGrapevine. Perhaps your church administrator would like to forward this prayer letter to the members of your church.
