Prayer Update for the Mission Works of the Presbytery of Southern California
VOLUME 22, NUMBER 5 June 2018
Pilgrim Presbyterian joins the Presbytery of Southern California (PSC)
The churches of our presbytery rejoice with the addition of a new congregation, Pilgrim Presbyterian OPC (PPC) of El Cajon, CA. This has officially been in the works since October of 2017, but Pastor Ben Rochester and the leadership of the church have desired to join us for quite some time.
The biggest prayer request at this time is for a larger facility. Currently, PPC is very happy with their rented facility due to its perfect location in downtown El Cajon, but they are pressed for space. Please pray that the Lord would open up a larger meeting place which is more suitable to their growing needs.
There are now 30 churches (including mission works) in the PSC! Praise God together as the Lord of the harvest continues to add to our numbers. Pray that each of our eight mission works would grow in unity, purpose, and godly maturity as they press on in the Savior's great commission to His church.
In the King of Glory,
MUCH NEEDED PRAYER
Give thanks to the Lord of the harvest for the things He is doing through the mission works of our presbytery. Pray that all eight works will make progress to becoming new and separate congregations of the OPC.
As we come to the end of the first half of 2018 giving continues to be strong! But we are still running a deficit. Please pray diligently and give generously to the work of missions throughout the Presbytery of Southern California, a region extending from eastern Arizona to the island of Hawaii.
