Here is a report on this past Tuesday's ride from Craig:
26 riders went 30 to 36 miles last Tues, distance varied as to how riders returned to Beloit after arriving at Beckman Mill. The ride took us on our usual route to get to Afton Rd. We then went north on Afton to Finley Rd then headed west to county Rd H. From there we turned south going past Beckman Mill. At that point riders broke up and took 4 different routes back to Beloit. After the ride 9 Spinners met at La Casa Grande to celebrate the National Night Out.
Craig also reported that there were 2 new Hammers...Jay who lives in West Berlin and works at the college. And Dan DeRoos a local Rider. Welcome to both of you.
Question...is John P still the Hammer King???

Weather looks pretty good for this coming Tuesday so "Let's Ride" as our cycling guru, Herb used to say.
PLEASE MAKE AN EFFORT TO COMPLETE THE SURVEY BELOW BECAUSE IT IS CRITICAL THAT THERE IS INPUT ON FUTURE BIKE/PED PATHS & MARKED BIKE LANES IN SOUTHERN WISCONSIN & NORTHERN ILLINOIS. THANKS MUCH
Shown below is an article that appeared in the BDN recently about the Bike/Ped Study that is currently being conducted by our local Municipal Planning Organization also known as SLATS. Several Spinners are on this committee and will be lobbyists for various Bike/Ped issues but anybody can weigh in on the survey that is accessible per info below:
You are highly encouraged to complete the survey and express your thoughts on how to improve the bike/ped system in the Stateline area. Keep in mind that our local MPO (Municipal Planning Organization) encompasses not only Southern Wisconsin but also Northern Illinois excluding Rockford.
The Tyranena Ride is another good one to check out...
