Hopefully everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July and still has all their "digits" after trying to light firecrackers & bottle rockets.
We will be back in the saddle this coming Tuesday as the weather looks pretty good for cycling.
Shown below is an article that appeared in the BDN this past Thursday about the Bike/Ped Study that is currently being conducted by our local Municipal Planning Organization also known as SLATS. Several Spinners are on this committee and will be lobbyists for various Bike/Ped issues but anybody can weigh in on the survey that is accessible per info below:
You are highly encouraged to complete the survey and express your thoughts on how to improve the bike/ped system in the Stateline area. Keep in mind that our local MPO (Municipal Planning Organization) encompasses not only Southern Wisconsin but also Northern Illinois excluding Rockford.
Here are the particulars on a "training ride" to New Glarus that Team CCC has put together for not only those doing the MS Ride in August but also for anyone else who wants to participate:
Spotted Cow Ride
Next Saturday 7/15, you are invited to join us on our annual trek to New Glarus! Its about a 47 mile ride from Afton to Brodhead to New Glarus! And of course there will be a few hills along the way and Spotted Cows when we get there! More info about this ride is posted on the blog here: http://teamccc.blogspot.com/2017/07/spotted-cow-ride-2017.html
From Jeff Johnson:
Don't miss the next night ride on Wed July 26th. We'll be able to start a little earlier for those of you who have to get up early the next day for work. Hard to believe the sun has already started heading north again.
