St. Philip's e-News - September 6, 2018
*Counting Down: 10 Days
St. Philip's will soon be taking the Renewal-Works
on-line Spiritual Life Inventory. We'’ll have three weeks to log on and take the inventory beginning September 16
. It's more than just a survey, however. It's a prayerful reflection on our spiritual journeys as individuals and as a parish.
Consistency in showing up is key to any successful relationship - a marriage, patenting, friendships. And with God. We deepen our relationships by spending time together. What is the most consistent part of your spiritual life? What parts are struggling or need more time? What helps you set aside time for God? What interferes? How do you spend your time with God?
Children's Sunday School
Children's Sunday School will resume on Sunday, September 9. Becky Capt and Sharon Haag will be leading the class. The class will use a combination of Godly Play and the Sunday gospel. If you have questions or would like to help please contact either Sharon or Becky.
*Fr. Mike's Class
Contrary to my previous announcement we will meet on Sunday, September 16. I look forward to being with you all.
Parish Retreat Cancelled
Unfortunately, the parish retreat scheduled for September 14-16, has been canceled. I am disappointed and sorry about this, but we simply did not have enough support for the retreat to make it viable. Mike+

God calls St. Philip’s to be a public face of Christ and to offer all people concrete ways to participate in the mystery of God. St. Philip’s responds to God’s call by:
+ Reflecting the beauty of holiness in our sacred spaces and worship;
+ Being a catalyst in our region for collaborative ministries that care for people in need;
+ Providing transformative experiences for people in our region through teaching and practices of Christian formation; and
+ Appreciating the uniqueness of each person and nurturing and supporting their relationship with God.
