Great Things Are Happening!
Ocean Township Italian American Festival Booth
For the first time, in what we expect to be an ongoing tradition, The Mya Lin Terry Foundation hosted a Game of Chance at the Township of Ocean Italian American Festival, August 5-9, 2015.  What an incredible experience with children of all ages, taking a chance on Mya's Derby Game.  Fun had by all - the Fair attendees, as well as the volunteers that cheered the participants on, as children raced their parents and grandparents towards the Prize.  All benefiting our foundation, and ultimately the children in our community fighting pediatric cancer.  And what a complete honor and surprise to be reminded that Ms. Mya had worked this venue herself prior to entering St Jude Children's Hospital for what would become her last festival.

Ocean Wins 4th Annual Mya Cup
Ocean Township High School Girls Varsity Soccer team wins fourth straight Mya’s Cup - a benefit organized by the team to help pediatric cancer warriors and their families.   On September 16, the Spartans did it again, winning 2-1 against Red Bank Regional High School.  This year’s Honorary MVP Mia Castellan was not able to join us; however, her big brother Logan was more than happy to accept the honor of Trophy presentation.  The night could not have happened without the players, coaches, volunteers and fans. Special thanks to Rich Champranis and Sports Zone for their amazing coverage of the game. It takes a dedicated and brave group to carry on this tradition in Mya’s memory and the team really lives up to its name - GO SPARTANS!

TMLTF Issues Research Grant
On September 21, TMLTF awarded its third Research Grant in the amount of $10,000 to The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, for the research efforts of Dr. Shukla and Dr. Armstrong regarding mixed lineage leukemia, the cancer that took the life of Andrew Toussaint.  Our foundation made this gift in honor and in memory of Andrew.  May his battle help others succeed.  Thank You for enabling our Foundation to grow, succeed, and make a difference in the lives of children battling.
