Great Things Are Happening!
WOW! What a year it has been.
Because of YOU, in little over two years, The Mya Lin Terry Foundation has granted $67,081.33 to twenty-eight pediatric cancer patients and families in our community.  $40,000.00 has been provided in pediatric cancer research grants to The St Jude Childrens’ Research Hospital, University of Colorado Foundation and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  TMLTF has gifted $2,500.00 in Scholarships to two Ocean Township High School Seniors.   $300,000.00 has been committed to the establishment of The Mya Lin Terry Cinema being constructed within The Michael Fux Family Center at The Unterberg Children's Hospital of The Monmouth Medical Center.

Pocketbook BINGO!
Do you like designer handbags and accessories? Then you will want to be at The Renaissance in Ocean Twp. on Friday, February 26 for the second annual TMLTF Bingo.  Admission is $35 in advance and includes 11 bingo games with 3 cards per game. Other exciting games of chance will be offered as well. Feel free to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with games beginning promptly at 7:00 p.m.   UPDATE:  THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT, AND WE WILL BE UNABLE TO ACCEPT ANY WALK INS. 

Mya's 4th Annual Run For Gold 5k
WOW! Hundreds of runners and walkers turned out on October 18th to attend the 4th Annual Mya’s Run For Gold 5K held at The Joe Palaia Park in Ocean Twp.  Many thanks to all the participants, volunteers and community partners for making this our most profitable run to date, raising over $21,0000 for pediatric cancer patients and their families in our community.  We were thrilled to have had many Pediatric Cancer Warriors in attendance, reminding us all of their strength, courage and determination.  Winner's Circle

Mya’s Spirit of Giving Scholarship 2015/2016
Mya’s Spirit of Giving Scholarship 2015/2016 REMINDER:  The application window is currently open for the 2nd offering of the Mya's Spirit of Giving Scholarship opportunity.  Open to all high school Seniors that are Ocean Township residents; attend any community high school; in good academic standing, and have demonstrated the Foundation’s mission, vision and purpose. 2015 Recipients:  Ms. Kelli Shapiro and Ms. Jenna Loeser.  Interested applicants may download an application from http://TheMyaLinTerryFoundation.org/pay-it-forward  The Deadline for applications is February 20, 2016.
 
Junior Board Shout Outs
Congratulations to Alexis Pickett of East Stroudsburg University Women's Soccer for ranking No. 9 in the final NSCAA Division II poll of the 2015 season, the highest end-of-season ranking in its program history.  ESU won its first-ever Atlantic Region title and second straight PSAC championship this fall.

The Foundation Is Always Collecting:  New or gently used DVDs to be donated to The Mya Lin Terry Cinema at The Unterberg Children's Hospital at Monmouth Medical Center, as well as, other local pediatric hospitals.  We are also still collecting aluminum can tabs to be donated to The Ronald McDonald House.
