On May 21st, 1921, Christopher Perry joins the Ancestors. He is a pioneering black businessman who championed racial equality and established the Philadelphia Tribune in 1884.  The Tribune is the oldest continuously published African American newspaper in the nation.

On May 20th, 1910, Scatman Crothers was  born. Crothers appeared in a number of feature films. He was a frequent guest on The Jack Benny Show and the Steve Allen Show while continuing to make records and perform on stage in L.A. and Las Vegas.

On May 21st 1977, Ricky Williams was born in San Diego, California. He is former American football running back that played 11 seasons in the NFL and one season in the Canadian Football League after following a stellar college sports career.

On May 20th 1952, Marvin Hagler was born in Newark, New Jersey. He is a retired American professional boxer who was Undisputed World Middleweight Champion from 1980 to 1987. Hagler made twelve undisputed title defenses and holds the highest KO% of all middleweight champions at 78%.
