Greetings Family. Today marks a day off self-determination for African People. On April 27th 1961, Sierra Leone became an independent African country. On April 27th 1964, United Republic of Tanzania was established. Dr. Julius Nyerere is 1st President & Father of Tanzania. In the same efforts of being able to determine our own destiny, the Dr Julius Nyerere CBPM UNIA-ACL Division 421 is in the process of completing our local ByLaws, our Constitution locally & Blackprint for the rest of the century for African People in District 5 (SC, FL & GA) Jurisdiction of the Black Gov't. Join us today, Sunday April 26th, 2014, at our Mass Meeting 5-7 p.m, EST, at UNIA-CBPM Office or by calling (424) 203-8075 access code 471895#. On April 27th, 1883: Hubert Harrison was born in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. He is known as "the father of Harlem radicalism," was a brilliant writer, orator, educator, critic, and political activist in New York in the 1910s and 1920s. Historian J. A. Rogers, in "World's Great Men of Color," refers to Harrison as "the foremost Afro-American intellect of his time".
