Join us Monday, July 11 for an online discussion of G. Willow Wilson's The Bird King

Join us for an illuminating discussion of the 2019 historical fantasy novel The Bird King by G. Willow Wilson. Set during the height of the Spanish Inquisition, the book follows a young concubine who risks her life to save that of her one true friend, a mapmaker who can bend reality through his artistry. Filled with lush descriptions and unearthly beings, The Bird King contemplates the meaning of love, freedom, religion, and power while maintaining an adventurous tone and pace.
This online program will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, July 11 via Zoom. As always, this program is free and open to all.
