Pint & Politics - this Tuesday 30th / 7pm

We're back in the private side room at the Laguna on Mount Street this Tuesday 30th at 7pm and given the exciting events this week we expect a lively time!

Tony at Laguna is a long standing supporter and the private ground floor room is opposite the Mount Street NCP for parking and also it's access-friendly via its own front door and loo but let us know if you may need some assistance.

You'll be ok for the pints, served for us at table; if you want to eat the normal menu is available and if you want a favourite English dish guaranteed let us know in advance and we'll sort it!

For our debate please bring a suggestion if you would like a topic raised - plus expect us to bring the raffle kit too. Any queries email the office or give us a call on 0115 948 4533.
Community Champions - what?

We know we're not in power at the City Council (though when we walk the streets some people think we are...) but we can still be part of the community and even with only two councillors we can pick up case work in the city from people who want us to help.

So take a look at the map, we need community champions, in effect shadow councillors, across the whole area. If you live or are close to the people in any of these wards we need to enlist you to become our designated community champions and start engaging with people.

Also you will know that all of our three Parliamentary constituency areas currently has a sitting MP that's not a Conservative but we already have Constituency Officers elected and ready.

It's becoming clear that we need to stand up for the Conservative voice in Nottingham because, as the song says, "there may be trouble ahead" and if a General Election starts to loom we need to be ready for it here locally.

All of this, locally and nationally, needs bodies on the ground and bodies with some energy to go out there and engage with people. In Nottingham we have 20 council wards with 50 Labour councillors and our two councillors in Clifton try their best to help our people across the city but they need help too and that means more of our bodies out there throughout the city.

Have a think about becoming a shadow councillor in your area and give us a call, we're going to seek out volunteers first but if things get tough we're not ruling out conscription! Our elected Constituency Officers are Alfie Pryor, Paul Ruane and Bradley Wing and they can help too in coordinating things in your area. So get in touch and let's get moving!

Is Our Voice Heard?

As usual a reminder that one of the best ways to make our Conservative voice heard and start to make a difference is to use Social Media, such as Facebook and Twitter, so please...

Look us up online and get in touch via our main pages here:

Facebook     https://www.facebook.com/nottinghamconservatives/
Twitter           https://twitter.com/NGConservatives

And as always if you have any suggestions or ideas then please let us know!

Our Offices...

We've city centre offices that benefit us all but we still need a little help to keep them going and make them better... so can you help?

We're still trying to get a party organised for a tidy up; a Saturday get together for mainly clearing out and hitting that shredder is what's needed plus a few hands to keep that brew going! Any takers please and any dates?

Please email us or get in touch with Nick Max on 07973 611477.
