Election 2019 Candidate Review

W e d n e s d a y   1 8 t h   S e p t e m b e r
On Wednesday 18th September we're at King Edward Court from 7pm for a 7.30pm start where we are hosting an Election 2019 Candidate Review and debriefing session; this event is open to all our candidates who stood on 2nd May this year in the City Council Elections and other members who are considering standing as Councillors or even as an MP in future.
This session will involve a discussion on the city elections just held in May and we are looking for input from our candidates, officers and others involved in the campaign.
We want to know candidly What Went Right and What Went Wrong and then work together to get a plan in place by the end of this year to start implementing well before 2023.
Do let us know you're coming, contact the office or email:  Office at KEC

And to this end we are going to discuss that we are...
...Still Recruiting Community Champions

We need Community Champions, effectively shadow councillors, across the whole of our city area, so Sherwood, Mapperley, The Park, Bulwell and beyond. So if you live or are close to the people in one of the 20 council wards please get in touch with us to discuss how to become our designated community champion and start engaging with our people!
We need to target the 55 City Council seats in 20 Wards so it would be great to have at least 20 volunteers from now to get that number of candidates recruited and ready to stand.
So think about becoming a shadow councillor and give us a shout, we need volunteers now and our Constituency Officers, Alfie Pryor, Paul Ruane and Bradley Wing will lead this and start driving things through in your area so let's go! Contact:

Making Our Voice Heard

The usual reminder that one of the best ways to make our Conservative voice heard and start to make a difference is to use Social Media, such as Facebook and Twitter, so please look us up online and get in touch via our main pages here:
Whilst in May we were only starting to get involved in using social media as a strategy (and caused some waves in the process, not all "good") it was clear that an impact was happening.
For comparison we could with one click and at a cost of just a few £'s we reached over 10,000 targeted people in the city; imagine the cost of printing so many leaflets or getting enough volunteers together to push soggy bits of paper through 10,000 letterboxes and forgetting the wasteful and demoralising arguments on the doorsteps!
And how many leaflets went straight in the bin just like those Labour and LibDem ones that came through your letterbox? If anyone out there is willing to step up and help us with this specific strategy please get in touch:

The Office - Update

As you know our Office Manager, Holly Townsend, is leaving us next week so join us for a farewell drink from 5pm on her last day, Friday 30th August; we're going for the traditional drink down the pub so put the date and time in your diary and let us know you're coming; ring the office or email here Nick Max at KEC Office or here: Office at KEC

If you would like to contribute to a leaving gift then please follow the link for our John Lewis Gift List and use the Gift List Code 772531:
We're moving on apace with our general office clear out and plans for a major rearrangement; we've had some good help lately (thanks to those who chipped in) and our waste bins have been full to overflowing for a few weeks!
We've a small amount of shredding left to do so anyone who can pop over to KEC this week to meet up with Holly and do a couple of hours would be well received; otherwise by way of kit we only need help if anyone can donate a small ie table top dishwasher. If you can please get in touch with Nick Max by email:
