City Pint & Politics - next Tuesday

On Tuesday 20th August we're back in the private room at the Laguna on Mount Street which is opposite the Mount Street NCP for parking and is also access-friendly via its own ground floor front door and loo so we can help if you need assistance to get in.

The Pints are served for us at table and food is available from the Indian menu but if you want your favourite English dish laid on then let us know in advance and we'll accommodate it.

The Politics will be via our debate so bring some suggestions along or email them in if you can't be there and expect a raffle too; any queries email:
Nick Max at KEC Office

Suggestions already in to us include: a more in-depth discussion on our party's Foreign Aid policy and "while we talk about new covenants what about discussing our old and far more wide reaching Pensions Covenant - broken by our own government". Could be lively again!

As usual if anyone would like to suggest a new venue then we'll take a look and we've had some suggestions, though as usual we struggle to get that combination of no cost but also accessible in the city centre or just outside of it. Keep thinking everyone!
Still Recruiting - Community Champions

We still need our Community Champions, in effect shadow councillors, across the whole of  our city area, so Sherwood, Mapperley, The Park, Bulwell and beyond. If you live or are close to the people in one of the council wards please get in touch with us to discuss how to become our designated community champion and start engaging with our people!

We need to target the 55 City Council seats in 20 Wards so it would be great to have at least 20 volunteers now to get that number of candidates recruited and ready to stand next time.

We will soon be contacting those who stood in last time too but our aim is to have 55 active candidates starting the job now, not in four years time. It's a big ask but...

So please think about becoming a shadow councillor and give us a shout, we need some volunteers now and our Constituency Officers, Alfie Pryor, Paul Ruane and Bradley Wing can help coordinate things in your area so let's get moving, contact:
Nick Max at KEC Office
Making Our Voice Heard

As always another reminder that one of the best ways to make our Conservative voice heard and start to make a difference is to use Social Media, such as Facebook and Twitter, so please look us up online and get in touch via our main pages here:

Facebook       https://www.facebook.com/nottmconservatives/
Twitter            https://twitter.com/NottmConservs

And as always if you have any suggestions or ideas then please let us know!
KEC Office - Update & Holly

It's sad to inform you that our fabulous Office Manager, Holly Townsend, will be leaving us this month to head for pastures new and is having a break from politics, Brexit and all! I guess a few of us would like to join in with that but why not join us for a farewell drink instead.

We're only going for the traditional drink at the local pub but put the date and time in your diary and let us know if you're coming so we can make sure we choose a big enough pub; email me here:
Nick Max at KEC Office or phone the office.

More details soon but if you would just like to contribute to a leaving gift then please follow the link below for the John Lewis Gift List and use the Gift List Code 772531:

https://www.johnlewisgiftlist.com/giftint/JSPs/GiftList/BuyGifts/GuestFindAList.jsp

This (contributions only) leaving gift list opens on Monday 19th August.

Reminder: our city centre office benefits us all but we always need a little help to keep them going and make them better so anyone with access to a small van for a (totally legal obviously) rubbish dump run would be good plus we're on the look out for another small fridge and any ideas for a table top dishwasher for our cups and glasses?

Please get in touch with Nick Max by email:
Nick Max at KEC Office if you can help.
