The Butterfly Cafe

The Liaison Psychiatry Older Adults team at King's College Hospital launched The Butterfly Café back in April for people living with dementia and their carers. It's a friendly monthly meeting place that brings joy, creativity & hope. In meetings so far, they have had a dance therapy session, live music, pottery, and flower arranging. The meetings also offer an opportunity to share experiences and information.

The next meeting will be June 14th and they are looking forward to seeing as many guests as possible. If you live with dementia or care for someone who does then please feel welcome to go along. And if you know someone who would benefit then please do share. You can find a PDF version of the below flyer here. They also welcome professionals who wish to understand a little more about the café.

The group runs from 2:30pm to 4:30pm in
The Lounge Area, Second Floor Canteen
Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience
16 De Crespigny Park, Denmark Hill
London SE5 8AF

It's completely free to attend, but please email thekchbutterflycafe@hotmail.com or call 07562 691 to register attendance or for more information.
