Major changes announced at MasterBUILT
CALGARY, Alta. — MasterBUILT Hotels, a leading Canadian hotel development and management company, and the master territorial developer for Microtel by Wyndham, yesterday announced the appointment of a new leadership team as they set their sights on a bright future. David Donaldson has been named as president.
Don Cleary on Marriott's pandemic response
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Marriott has firm protocols in place to open hotels and solid operating procedures around cleanliness and social distancing. Marriott Canada president Don Cleary remains optimistic. "As soon as the time is right, there will be keen interest by Canadians to travel around Canada."  
Choice Canada has 85 per cent of hotels open
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Choice Hotels Canada currently has around 85 per cent of hotels open out of over 330 properties, reports Brian Leon, president. "We have a number of hotels serving as lodging for front line health care workers and others impacted by the crisis. In a few cases, hotels are being used as hospital overflow."
