Launch of Marches LEP Annual Report

Nearly 200 people attended the Annual Conference of the Marches LEP in Ludlow, which also saw the launch of the partnership's 2016 Annual Report.

The 20 page document gives an insight into the LEP's big infrastructure projects currently under way, details on how the region is being championed nationally and regionally and an overview of the state of the Marches economy.

With speakers from Jaguar Land Rover, BT and West Mercia Police, the event also aimed to offer businesses helpful information and advice on how to develop their workforce, take advantage of the high speed broadband network and protect their businesses from cyber crime.

The Encouraging Apprenticeships series of videos is now live on the Marches Growth Hub YouTube channel. We'd like to thank employers Grainger & Worrall, Salop Design and Fullwood and their apprentices for taking part!

Are you an employer looking for apprenticeships?

The Marches Growth Hub Employer Skills Search has been developed by the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership and its Skills Board – which includes business representatives, training and skills providers and universities.

It brings together in one place all of the providers delivering training, skills and qualifications in the Marches for the first time. Employers can search for providers and course by occupational area and qualification level.

Growth Hub Week will be held from May 16 to celebrate the completion of the national network of growth hubs across England. The Marches Growth Hub will be releasing an update on the numbers of businesses which have been supported by both the virtual hub at www.marchesgrowthhub.co.uk, the helpline on 0345 6000 727 and by the three hubs in Hereford, Shrewsbury and Telford. Keep an eye on the website for both this, and all the latest business support products and services which could help grow your business!
