Marches Growth Hub launched

A £250,000 project that will revolutionise the way businesses access support services across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin has been launched.

The Marches Growth Hub brings together local and national products and services available to support businesses whatever their sector, size or stage of growth, in one place for the first time.

The virtual hub, www.marchesgrowthhub.co.uk, was launched on October 20th. The business-friendly website offers advice, guidance and a directory of support services for businesses. It will be supported by three hub sites, the first of which opened in Telford on October 21st.

As well as the website, which has been developed by the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership and is aligned with the Business is GREAT campaign, businesses can contact a dedicated enquiry line at 0345 6000 727 for advice and support.

Hub launched at Telford site

More than 180 business representatives attended the Telford Business Summit, which saw the opening of a state-of-the-art facility for business support in the area.

The Marches Growth Hub Telford & Wrekin will provide meeting rooms, hot desk facilities and face to face business support, operating alongside the virtual hub, a business support website and dedicated enquiry phone line.

The Business Summit hosted the inaugural event of the hub, which focused on cyber security for businesses, and was followed by tours of the facility at the Telford Innovation Campus at the University of Wolverhampton. A hub in Hereford will open on November 17 and another in Shrewsbury in January 2016.
