TWO COMMUNITY EVENTS IN SUPPORT OF INTERFAITH WORKS

THE GRAND OLY OPRY

Friends it is that time again… summer is a’comin’ and Olympia’s premiere summer hoedown is right around the corner. So, dust off those hats, polish up those boots, and get ready for the best booty-shakin’, skirt-twirlin’, whiskey-swillin’ hootenanny all summer!

This event benefits the Interfaith Works Shelter. There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door.

El Profe's Pepper Beer Pachanga!

An official event of the South Sound Made 2019 South Sound Beer & Cider Week! Hosted by Olympia Salsa and Three Magnets. Sponsored by Commencement Bank, Love Our Local Fest, and Sofie’s Scoops.
A fundraiser for the Interfaith Works Homeless Services Program.

Faith Explorations Summer camp

Camp this year was great! The kids learned about the traditions of Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Judaism, Baha’i and Earth Based religions. Our visitors included Lisa Hallock, Nancy Snyder, Beth Halpern, Lara Crutsinger-Perry, Rabbi Seth Goldstein, Leslie Goldstein and Karin Seabert Olsen. The kids played, discussed, and created skits and art about what it means to encounter God in others and how to honor that divine presence. They were surprised to hear repeatedly that we all want to honor each other’s divinity, regardless of faith. Of course, we also played at several downtown parks and enjoyed an afternoon at the Heritage Park fountain. We had so much fun! Thank you to everyone who made this another successful year! See you again next year!
