December 2015 Newsletter
Merry Christmas from Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice! It's hard to believe another year is ready to come to an end, but 2015 has been great and we're sure 2016 will be even better! Lots of exciting things have happened for the group this year, including a new partnership with Chantilly Farm Bluegrass & BBQ Festival, a new record deal with Mountain Fever Records, the beginning of recording a new album, tons of shows all over the country, and more! Read on to review the highlights of 2015 and learn more about what's coming up in the new year!
Trouble Follows Me Lasts 9 Months on the Charts!

Since the release of Trouble Follows Me in late 2014, the fifth album from Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice on Rebel Records, FIVE songs from the album made the Bluegrass Today Weekly Top 20 - including TWO number ones! "Honky-Tonked to Death," the album's lead single, also hit number one on the Bluegrass Unlimited singles chart this year, and both the album and the single spent a whopping NINE months on their charts!. Thanks so much to all of the fans who requested the songs and the DJ's who have played them! We were also very proud that the album art, drawn by cartoonist Deano Martin, received the 2015 IBMA Award for Best Graphic Design for a Recorded Project!
We were very excited this year to announce a special partnership between Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice and Chantilly Farm in Floyd, VA, making their Bluegrass & BBQ Festival the band's home festival for the next several years. The 2015 festival was a wonderful beginning to the partnership, and we are excited to see it continue in 2016. This year's festival will be held May 27-28 (Memorial Day Weekend), and tickets are on sale now! If you purchase before February 1, you can get the special Early Bird Rate of just $40 for both days!

Here are some of our favorite photos from the past year!
Jason Davis doing some excellent work on the banjo at the Chantilly Farm Bluegrass & BBQ Festival. Thanks to Judith Burnette for the photo.

Here's a nice shot of Junior and his wife Susan at the brand new festival, Boograss Bash, in Anderson County, SC!
Some great harmonies from Johnathon, Jamie, and Junior at the MACC Festival (left) and the Bristol Bluegrass Spring Fest (right). Thanks to Kimberly Williams for sharing the photo from the MACC Festival!
Thanks to B Chord Photography for sharing this photo from the Graves Mountain Festival of Music!
Kameron Keller was an excellent addition to the band throughout the 2015 tour, but we are sad to announce that he will be leaving the group to join the Darrell Webb Band in 2016. We'd like to thank Kameron for his contributions on bass and harmony vocals, and wish him well as he transitions to a new group!
One of the most exciting things to happen to the band this year was their signing with a new record label, Mountain Fever Records! The guys have been recording all through the fall, and plan on having a brand new album out in the spring. We hear that it's going to be packed full of hard-driving, lonesome, traditional bluegrass - just what the guys like to play and the fans like to hear!
Junior, Susan, and all of the guys in the band would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! The band is currently taking a winter break from touring, but will be back on the road in March. Here are a few places you can look forward to seeing them...
March 12: Berryville Bluegrass Series (Berryville, VA)
March 13: James River Bluegrass (Madison Heights, VA)
April 8: Two Rivers Bluegrass Festival (Leakesville, MS)
