October 2015 Newsletter

The  leaves have changed, there's a chill in the air... looks like fall is definitely here! That means the bluegrass festival season is coming to an end, but Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice still have plenty going on! They have a few more shows left this year in November before they take a break for the winter. They'll also continue working on their new album - and first for Mountain Fever - throughout the late fall and winter.

Keep reading to find out about a recent award, upcoming shows, and highlights of the past month! Thanks so much to all of the band's Facebook fans who share photos with us - we have several fan photos to showcase this month!
Trouble Follows Me wins Best Graphic Design!

Last month, we told you about the IBMA award nomination earned by Trouble Follows Me for Best Graphic Design for a Recorded Project. We were very excited to find out that the album art - designed by cartoonist Deano Minton - won! He recently posed for a picture with his award and the award-winning album and shared on Facebook. Congratulations to Mr. Minton and the band. It's sure a great design!
Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice to Host Benefit Concert
On November 21, Junior will be hosting a benefit concert and dinner for Sonia Underwood, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer. Also appearing at the concert will be The Deer Creek Boys, featuring former Ramblers Choice bass player Jason "Sweet Tater" Tomlin. We hope to see lots of fans and friends for great music, great food, and a great cause!
We're Looking Forward to Chantilly Farm!
Junior and the guys are excited to be back at the Chantilly Farm Bluegrass & BBQ Festival in May! This will be the festival's second year as the "home festival" for the band. The group had an awesome time playing there last year, and it looks like this year will be even better. In addition to Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice, you can see groups like Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, and the Lonesome River Band! Early Bird Tickets are on sale now until February 1... just $40 for a weekend pass!
