April 2016 Newsletter

April has found Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice getting back into the swing of things on the road and festival season getting cranked up! You might have seen the guys at the Two Rivers Bluegrass Festival in Mississippi, Bluegrass Farm Jam in Georgia, or the Franklin County Moonshine Festival just up the road from their home base in Virginia! They made a stop at Merlefest yesterday (April 29), and are at Willow Oak Park in North Carolina today (April 30)! We've got a list of upcoming shows in May below, and you can always check out upcoming tour dates on the band's website.

There are a lot of exciting things coming up in May, especially on Memorial Day weekend. Not only will the band be at their home festival - Chantilly Farm Bluegrass & BBQ Festival - but they'll also be releasing their brand new CD, Poor Boy's Pleasure! Keep reading for information about that, as well as a look back at where they've been this month.
Check Out the Cover Art!

Mountain Fever Records has released the cover art for the band's upcoming album, Poor Boy's Pleasure. We are excited to announce a partnership with True Timber Camo for this album. Their camouflage patterns will be featured on the album cover and booklet art, reflecting Junior's love of hunting and the country life! Thanks to the talented Anthony Ladd of Kneelin Design for designing the cover art.

Remember that Poor Boy's Pleasure will be released May 27th, but you can pre-order the album now from both iTunes and Amazon. If you pre-order from iTunes, you can get the first single and number one hit, Longneck Blues, immediately!

Poor Boy's Pleasure, the brand new album from Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice on Mountain Fever Records, will be officially released May 27, 2016 at the Chantilly Farm Bluegrass & BBQ Festival in Floyd County, Virginia!

Chantilly Farm, a special events venue and campground located just outside of the town of Floyd, has served as an official touring sponsor of the group since 2014. The Bluegrass & BBQ Festival, which takes place annually on Memorial Day weekend, serves as the band's home festival. This year's festival takes place May 27-28. Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice will perform both days, and will be joined throughout the weekend by award-winning bluegrass favorites such as Volume Five, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, and Lonesome River Band.

In addition to two days full of bluegrass music, the festival also features arts and crafts vendors, children's activities, jamming opportunities, a corn hole tournament, and more. RV and tent camping are available on the festival grounds, and numerous food vendors will be onsite both days.

Advance tickets are available until May 26, and can be purchased from the Chantilly Farm website or by calling (540) 745-2322.

For more information about the festival, contact Chantilly Farm lead promoter Jason Gallimore at chantillyfarm@gmail.com.
