The Art of Peter Hay

Two Rivers Press founder Peter Hay’s rubber stamp images feature in many of our books and are the inspiration behind our famous logo. As well as being a brilliantly inventive printmaker he was a fine draughtsman and watercolourist, and was a central figure in the local art community. This book is the first formal catalogue of his artwork and is a beautiful celebration of the range of his art. If you haven’t seen it yet, take a look at the website, where there are half a dozen page spreads available.

Bonjour Mr Inshaw

Newly published, Bonjour Mr Inshaw Includes full-colour reproductions of 26 of David Inshaw’s evocative English landscapes and other paintings, many inspired by locations in South West England, alongside 19 poems by Peter Robinson, many written after a visit in 2019 to the artist’s studio in Devizes. Peter’s friendship with David Inshaw dates back to the mid-70s and the poems in the book are a thought-provoking contemporary example of the centuries old ekphrastic dialogue between the arts of poetry and painting.

The Dancers of Colbeck

In this poetry collection from the established and well-regarded poet, William Bedford, the poems explore the market towns and seacoasts of Lincolnshire through a semi-autobiographical lens and include a sequence of poems written about, and honouring, the life, work and poetic voice of John Clare. The collection has recently been reviewed in The High Window.
