Domestic Abuse Training

An opportunity to be trained by specialists Domestic Abuse workers who are based within the Family Justice Centre (FJC) for professionals and volunteers who regularly work with families and children, their parent/carers – or have a period of irregular but intense contact. This training is aimed at staff who work with adults/children and roles involving completing/attending MARAC, Designated Safeguarding Leads and any other professionals whose role includes understanding the process of RIC/MARAC. Safeguarding Children Training Level 3
Tuesday 24 January 2023 and Thursday 16 March 2023
Sessions run from 09:30 - 15:00
This training is not specifically designed for the voluntary sector. It is based on the core competencies outlined in the DFE Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 and the London Child Protection Procedure. It is for professionals and volunteers who work regularly or intensely with children and young people and their families. Working with Male Victims of Domestic Abuse, CPD Accredited

This online course is designed to help frontline workers support male victims of domestic abuse. This training is not trainer-led. Participants will identify the domestic abuse experiences of male victims and the barriers to help-seeking and learn how to use the Respect Toolkit for Working with Male Victims of Domestic Abuse, so they can better meet the needs of the men they work with.
