Put Peru top of the list for 2017!
Marc and I returned recently from our second visit to Peru, a country that has a special significance for us. In March 2012, looking down on the breathtaking ruins at Machu Picchu, we first decided to set up a travel company focusing on Central and South America. In July of this year, we will be celebrating the fifth anniversary of Miraviva’s inception.
Miraviva’s vision is about so much more than sending our guests to sunny destinations, beaches and luxury spas. We know that comfort and relaxation are important for many globetrotters, but so are learning and discovery. In fact, we believe these are the very essence of enriching travel. That’s why we always strive to take our guests off the main tourist routes to discover places and people less well known and deliver unique experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.
In our fifth year, we are delighted to offer an outstanding two-week holiday itinerary to Peru, available from May 2017. This fascinating journey will allow first-time visitors to the country to see the must-visit destinations of Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, as well as Lake Titicaca and Arequipa, reached by a new luxury overnight sleeper train. But what will really set this trip apart are the off-the-beaten-track experiences we've included in Northern Peru, with visits to the Kuelap ruins, the Karajia Sarcophagi, the mausoleums at Revash and the extraordinary mummies at Leymebamba museum.
The final and unique leg of this itinerary is only now practicable following the construction of a new airport at Jaen in Northern Peru and the completion later this month of the new cable car project to Kuelap ruins. Miraviva is the first tour operator to offer this amazing itinerary – please click on the link below for full details.
2016 certainly presented us with some unique opportunities and challenges, but we have had a great year and have some exciting proposals to develop and expand our destination offerings in 2017.
We hope to hear from you soon and wish you all a very happy New Year!
