Sinister Wisdom is excited to announce the newest issue Sinister Wisdom 112: Moon and Cormorant is winging its way from our printer in Michigan to the mailhouse outside of Baltimore, MD and then will be headed to your mailbox. She makes a long journey from the minds of our myriad of writers working away in their solitude on stories, poems, and essays to reach your hands as a printed and bound journal, ready to be devoured and shared with all your friends! Prepare to be floored by the phenomenal contemporary works of writing and art by lesbians around the globe in this issue of Sinister Wisdom, Sinister Wisdom 112: Moon and Cormorant.
Sinister Wisdom 112: Moon and Cormorant is an eclectic collection of prose, poetry and visual arts that encourages the reader to engage thoughtfully and creatively with the work. I think it is some of the best lesbian writing today. I hope you will agree.
Sinister Wisdom 112: Moon and Cormorant includes the new work of contributors Marilyn Hacker, Rita Mookerjee, Christina M. Wells, Mie Astrup Jensen and many more! Sinister Wisdom 112: Moon and Cormorant also includes a tribute to beloved writer and editor of Sinister Wisdom Michelle Cliff including a reflective essay on relearning history through herstory and theirstory by Red Washburn and an essay by Michelle Cliff on claiming her identity.

What are we working on this spring? What are we NOT working on! Five interns are working with me remotely on Sinister Wisdom business. You will see the outcomes of their work in the tidying up of our website, including great new content about the Sinister Wisdom herstory. Check out these wonderful bios of founding editors Harriet and Catherine. More fun web features are planned so stay tuned to the Sinister Wisdom website for more developments.
We are working up a special bonus this year. Last year a Sinister Wisdom intern, Sara Gregory, created the 2019 calendar and she is busy at work on another calendar for 2020 (sounds far away, but we all know it is not!). We'll have information about the new calendar this summer. I've seen little snippets of what Sara is curating for us for next year calendar and I am very excited about the project! I hope you will be too! Plan to order one for yourself over the summer and some for gifts. Here is the cover of last year's calendar:
Not to be outdone by Sara's ingenuity and creativity, I'm working with a volunteer and some of our interns on another bonus item which we will announce in May or June and have available to ship over the summer. If you are a Sinister Wisdom sustainer, you will receive the announcement and information about the bonus item first. So sign up today! Otherwise stay tuned to this space and we will share the goodness with you!
