Beth Brant (Degonwadonti) was a lesbian poet, essayist, activist, and Bay of Quinte Mohawk from the Tyendinaga Mohawk Reserve in Ontario, Canada.
Breth Brant passed in 2015, but her spirit lives on in Sinister Wisdom's latest issue A Generous Spirit: Selected Works, edited by Janice Gould. This book is a collection of stories and poems written by Beth Brant over the years.
