Official Grand Opening Update

For those who have responded that they will be attending the Grand Opening Ceremony for the PEI Military Family Resource Centre. We ask you to please plan on arriving between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm The ceremony will be starting promptly at 7 pm. Thank you.
We are pleased to announce that the PEI MFRC has successfully acquired its first 2 Program Coordinators and a Family Liaison Officer. Starting in April 2014 will be coordinators Bernadine (Bernie) Mullin-Splude and Lynn Milligan and Family Liaison Officer, Ed MacAulay.
Bernie, a PEI native, will be taking on the role of FS&R/PSI Coordinator and comes to us from the Halifax MFRC , the largest MFRC in the country, where she was the Deployment Services & Outreach Services Coordinator from 2001 until the present time.
Lynn, formerly from the PEI Military Family Service Centre, was previously employed by the Gagetown MFRC for over 14 years. At Gagetown she progressed from an Early Childhood Educator to become the Child Care Director. Lynn was raised in a military family is also a military spouse.

Ed has both his Bachelor and Masters degree in Social Work and is experienced with many years of experience in the publice service as a front line worker in child protection services, as well as a manager, supervisor and counsellor for employees and their families as a resource to their Employee Assitance Program

Board Members Needed
The P.E.I MFRC is seeking family members of currently serving CAF members to be part of its Board of Directors. While it is not necessary to have specific skills or experience, it can be a benefit to the Board (i.e. accounting, fundraising and communications). Most importantly the Board is looking for new members with energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the organization.
