Hennepin Ave Bus Pilot
Metro Transit, in partnership with the City of Minneapolis, coordinated on a bus pilot project along Hennepin Avenue between Franklin Avenue and the Uptown Transit Center.
Over the course of three days – May 15, 16 and 17 – a pilot bus-only lane was implemented northbound at 26th Street to Franklin Avenue in the morning and southbound from 26th Street to the Uptown Transit Center in the afternoon (see map).
The purpose of the pilot was to explore how peak hour bus only lanes impact transit reliability, travel times, transit rider experience and motor vehicle travel times along the corridor.

Comprehensive Plan –Engagement Opportunities
City leaders want to know your thoughts about the new draft comprehensive plan. Minneapolis 2040 covers topics such as housing, job access, new building designs and street use. It’s the result of two years of engagement with the people of Minneapolis, including more than 50 meetings and conversations with thousands of residents, business owners and others. Public input directly helped staff establish priorities and determine the content of the draft plan, and public feedback on the draft plan is now needed.
There is still time to send in your feedback as well as attend the last open house:
