Principal's Message

Parents we are extremely excited about the Spring Semester 2020!

School Culture

We have experienced many gains at LBJ Early High School this school year, and look forward to the continued growth during the Spring semester as we promote a high level of student achievement. Our campus culture is positive overall, we have a significant decrease in discipline offenses due to the persistent efforts of the campus ADMIN. Team as we promote a safe learning environment. Our TEACHERS are highly committed to ensuring our students are growing academically, and consistently enhancing their classroom instruction to meet the needs of our students.

House Meetings-Student & Staff Engagement

We held our first House Meeting (Student Assembly) on Wednesday 1/29 and it made a significant impact on the campus. The primary purpose is to reinforce expectations in regard to Academics, Behavior, and Attendance; but more importantly inspire inner accountability in displaying Jaguar Pride in our daily actions! We will have special performances by some of our student groups, and a special guest speaker!

Academically Focused

Our mission is to consistently set high academic expectations for our students as we focus on deepening student understanding of concepts, and increase academic progress. We highly encourage you to connect with your child’s teachers to monitor the progress as we aim to increase parent communication, and promote student success. Our students completed the middle of the year benchmarks (MOY) for English I & II, Biology, Algebra I , and U.S. History Benchmark. These assessments will help teachers determine specific skills for each individual student that need to be re-taught, and which skills students successfully understand. Our mission is to prepare our students for the STAAR EOC exams, ensure that all students are earning their required Credits; and preparing for Graduation-Post Secondary Readiness (College & Career Prep).

Attendance Matters

As we work to help each student be successful we want to remind you that ATTENDANCE MATTERS, we want to ensure that students are receiving all credits necessary to be on the path toward graduation. Please help us make sure that your child is in school every day. Campus Administration & Staff are highly committed to ensure students are attending all of their classes each day, and constantly evaluating our campus protocols for effectiveness. We truly appreciate the parent support in this area as we continue improve our campus overall student attendance!

Thank You Parents for all that you do to support LBJ Early College High School as we work together to support our students! #Teamwork

Sincerely, Jon Bailey, LBJ ECHS Principal
