Women's Ordination Worldwide

WOW Jubilee for Women Priests
Women priests spotted in Rome!

We are delighted to announce that the striking images of women priests by Giulia Bianchi have been posted by city officials. The metre high posters, sponsored by Women's Ordination Worldwide, advocate for an opening of the discussion of women's ordination and feminist ministries. There has been media coverage of our poster campaign already including The Huffington Post and The Guardian We hope everyone will be inspired by these beautiful posters and will join us in exposing the sin of sexism in the Catholic Church.

This one was seen  in Trastevere this morning!
WOW is settling in to our HQ in Rome for the two next weeks whilst we prepare and host our 'Jubilee for Women Priests'. Thanks to all our wonderful supporters and WOW members who have made this possible.

Women’s Ordination Advocates to Host “Jubilee for Women Priests” During Vatican Celebrations of the Priesthood

ROME, ITALY:
Throughout the Year of Mercy, the Vatican is hosting celebrations at St. Peter’s Basilica, and from June 1-3 Pope Francis will mark the “Jubilee for Priests.”  In response, women’s ordination advocates will host a “Jubilee for Women Priests,” which offers an opportunity to celebrate a renewed image of the priesthood – one that is inclusive and welcoming of all people. Our Jubilee comes as Pope Francis is calling for the Church to “see in the women’s movement the working of the Spirit for a clearer recognition of the dignity and rights of women.” (Amoris Laetitia)
