Sausage That’s Changing the Game
What’s better than a hand-made sausage recipe perfected over three generations? Sausage that’s wrapped in bacon, stuffed with fresh jalapeño and real cheddar cheese, that’s what.

It’s Not Just a Sausage

It’s something so big it’s created its own category. Pork-shoulder sausage, wrapped in bacon, stuffed with half a jalapeño for that extra bite, and finished off with creamy cheddar cheese—the Sausage Slammer is unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. If you haven’t yet, stop in and try it for yourself.

The Legend Of Southside

Southside Market & Barbeque was born in 1882 by a man named William Moon. He would raise and slaughter his animals, carry them into town on a wagon, and sell the meat door-to-door. Without refrigeration and fear of spoilage, Moon started smoking the meat and thus, the legend of Elgin Hot Guts was born. Southside has come a long way from its wagon days, and now ships its famous sausage nationwide. The legend continues today as the Bracewells, the third generation owners, keep the strong Texas tradition alive. Click here to learn more about the history of Southside.
