VAYLA honors our deep Vietnamese American roots as we continue to grow with our community and hold a sacred space in New Orleans for Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) resilience and empowerment through education and advocacy around civic engagement, reproductive justice, environmental justice and beyond. Build an intersectional future and join our movement by supporting our work.

Đông chí Festival has its origins in the concept of yin and yang in Chinese philosophy. The winter solstice festival represents balance and harmony in life: the yin qualities of darkness and cold reach their height of influence on the shortest day of the year, but they also mark a turning point for the coming of the light and warmth of yang. Here’s wishing us all a time of light, rebirth and reawakening, and optimism for the year ahead.

This holiday season, support local organizations like VAYLA by contributing to our Winter Solstice fundraiser.
