VAYLA is one of the few Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) organizations in New Orleans holding sacred space for empowerment, education, and advocacy around civic education & engagement, reproductive justice, and environmental justice. Imagine an intersectional future and join our movement by supporting our work this GivingTuesday.
GivingTuesday: December 1
This Giving Tuesday, contribute to our Emergency Relief Fund that continues to support our community members deeply affected by COVID-19. This fund serves those who do not qualify for aid as they are awaiting citizenship status, undocumented, or in programmatic limbo. We have distributed translated COVID safety materials, voting materials, and food boxes weekly through our Farm to Families Initiative.
Our communities of color are underserved with limited language access and social access to survive. Contributing to VAYLA means directly providing fresh produce, food, and resources to Families in New Orleans East who have been unable to receive government aid, resources, and other needs during this global pandemic.
