A LOOK BACK and a BIG THANK-YOU!
Highlighting a few of the pets we have been able to help with the generosity of your donations this year.
THE LOST PET INITIATIVE
In June NKPC partnered with PACC and the Humane Society of Southern Arizona in a Microchip Marathon. The NKPC team chipped 124 animals in Marana, Three Points and "Dog Patch." We offered personalized support to pet owners looking for lost pets the week after July 4th. And since September, we have been offering low cost or free microchip events in various locations on a monthly basis, resulting in another 144 microchipped dogs and cats! Check here for future microchipping events.
FOSTERS TO THE RESCUE
No Kill Pima County brings attention to the most vulnerable animals at the shelter through the Savethesaveable.com website/campaign. We also sponsor some of those animals with Fosters to the Rescue funds that support the rescue (or adopter) in meeting the needs of the animals.
EACH ONE MEDICAL FUND
The Each One Medical Fund supports dogs and cats at PACC or in PACC foster care who need the attention of a specialist or diagnostics and treatment not available at the shelter. The fund has covered everything from a single consultation to organizing fundraisers for orthopedic surgeries.
ADOPT-A-SENIOR PET MONTH
Thanks to a generous donation from A Tucson Tail Blog to kick off Adopt A Senior Pet Month in November, and so many donors who joined the effort, there are 24 adopters receiving $100 for future veterinary care. Here are few of them.
SENIORS ETHEL & ELMER
STILL waiting at PACC
These two best buddies are 7 year old shepherd mixes. They have been at the shelter for 4 months. Looking for a FOSTER or ADOPTIVE home.
Male orange tabby and white domestic short hair mix. Only 1 year old and waiting over a month for his new family. Could it be he has half the eyes but twice the heart?
Meet Winky and find out!
No Kill Pima County is not a shelter. The pets we feature are located at PACC 4000 N. Silverbell or may have been moved to a foster home or Petsmart location. Adoption fees are waived for seniors, special needs pets and those that have been waiting too long.
