March 2020

Dear HUE Collaboratory

As we all adapt to these unique and challenging times, it’s more important than ever to connect, re-connect, collaborate and innovate together.

COVID-19 will impact us all in different ways and there will be shifting priorities. HUE, however, remains committed to providing our membership with networking and collaboration opportunities. Below please find some updates on HUE’s planned events.

We regret to advise the physical HUE Annual Townhall will not go ahead on 13th May 2020 as originally planned. The HUE Executive remain eager to facilitate a robust and interesting networking event with exciting plenary speakers. We are exploring the establishment of an interactive ‘Townhall’ and we look forward announcing further details soon!
Please note that HUE will go ahead with 2020 funding schemes. As you will understand  there will be changes to the original timeline. The HUE Executive are currently reassessing shifting priorities and deadlines and we look forward to releasing more information on upcoming seed funding schemes shortly.

We are considering issuing ‘targeted calls’ on particular issues of importance and interest across MBG SPHERE CAGs and institutions. For instance, last week we took stock, with colleagues from two other CAGs, how air quality could be further explored. If you have any burning issue you feel ought to be subject to such a targeted call, please let us know!

Finally, if you have some creative ideas for online networking events, please get in touch. Thank you for your continued support and interest in HUE. We look forward to seeing you all soon (virtually)!
If you would like to share events and updates with HUE members and/or the wider Maridulu Budyari Gumal Network, or co-brand your workshops and events please email L.Niemela@unsw.edu.au
