Weekly Report

More time, more attention, best outcome.

Hey neighbor,

It’s the first day of October, how are you? I hope you’ve been well. Our weather has been pretty nice, I’m happy about that. A good Portland fall is the best! The change of seasons motivating. Time to start new projects. What are you working on? Let me know if you need anything.

This previous weekend I went on a trip to Santa Fe NM that had been pushed back. I don’t know if you’ve ever been, and I didn’t know anything about it but turned out to be a cute little town. I’ve never been to a place with so many nice shops and galleries. The most beautiful Persian rug store I’ve ever seen.

I’m playing catch up. Longer more in-depth email of the market next week when hopefully all of September's numbers are released. But for now, check out what we do have on the market on for September in Portland. We are on track to have a very similar season to what we had leading up to the 2016 elections. A record home value spike compared to the previous year/month. With home values both in September 2016 and 2020 rising in the mid 13%. Practically identical. Could they get past 20% like it did in October 2016? I'll keep you posted!

Have a great rest of your week and weekend. It looks like we may get good weather! I’m around. Let me know if you need anything.

The Native American Artisans Program - Palace of The Governors in New Mexico

Adjacent to the Plaza, you will find the Palace of the Governors. Built by the Spanish as a government building in 1610, the Palace remains the country's oldest continuously occupied public building. Exhibits chronicle the history of Santa Fe as well as New Mexico and the region.
Where could the Real Estate Market be going?

The months leading up to the 2016 election, home values rose to the highest Portland had seen in 72 months (as long as you can look back in RMLS history) with a 20.31% increase in October 2016 compared to the previous year.

Despite everything that has happened, could low inventory and interest rates + whatever the effect the election season has on the real estate market create a spike in home values similar to what we saw in the fall of 2016? I wouldn't have thought, but we'll see!

September 2020 Basic Market Stats- Prediciton are panning out.

Hillarious!! Prices are up!! I was thinking it might. We are on track to have the same season in regard to the increase in home values that we did in 2016 leading up to the election. In September 2016 there was a 13.35% increase in home values compared to the previous year/month, and last September we had a 13.77% increase. Nearly identical. Can we come near or pass up what was received in October 2016, at 20.31%? Let's see! I'm saying yes!!!!
Can you see the difference?
