Isaac and David receive a warm welcome!

I'm thrilled and touched by the response A Forbidden Rumspringa is garnering from readers and reviewers. Thank you to everyone who has read it and taken the time to share your thoughts on Isaac and David's story.

I'm hard at work on the next installment, A Clean Break, which will be released in February. I'll let you know when I have the exact date!

Here's a tidbit just for you: this book will be told from David's POV. We're also going to get to know Isaac's brother Aaron and his wife.

Now available in print through Amazon

The paperback version is now available at Amazon here. I made it through Createspace, Amazon's print arm, and was quite impressed with the quality of the product. While I'm a big fan of ebooks, there's nothing quite like holding a pretty copy of your novel in your hands!

Reviews to write home about

Needless to say I was delighted by the warm response to this book. It's more than I ever dreamed. Here are a few of the reviews I'm talking about:
  • "Five goddamned fucking stars" from Heidi Cullinan
  • "If you read only one romance novel this year, make it A Forbidden Rumspringa" from I'm With Geek
  • "As things heated up, I couldn't read fast enough" from Joyfully Jay
Thank you again to all of you who have shared your thoughts on Goodreads. I know some authors don't look at reviews, but I think it's important to get reactions -- both good and bad. It helps me grow as a writer to not be working in a vacuum.

Buzzy books

I'd read Lisa Henry's grocery list, so I'm extremely excited about her upcoming release! Check it out:

Wyoming Territory, 1870.

Elijah Carter is afflicted. Most of the townsfolk of South Pass City treat him as a simpleton because he’s deaf, but that’s not his only problem. Something in Elijah runs contrary to nature and to God. Something that Elijah desperately tries to keep hidden.

Harlan Crane, owner of the Empire saloon, knows Elijah for what he is—and for all the ungodly things he wants. But Crane isn’t the only one. Grady Mullins desires Elijah too, but unlike Crane, he refuses to push the kid.

When violence shatters Elijah’s world, he is caught between two very different men and two devastating urges: revenge, and despair. In a boomtown teetering on the edge of a bust, Elijah must face what it means to be a man in control of his own destiny, and choose a course that might end his life . . . or truly begin it for the very first time.

Available from Riptide September 29!

New release: Semper Fi

I've been working on my new book, Semper Fi, for three years. At 95,000 words it's my longest yet, and it's very close to my heart. It'll be available November 11, and I'll be able to share the cover next month. In the meantime, meet Cal and Jim. I've always been a sucker for friends to lovers!

The war is over. The battle for love has just begun.
As Marines, Cal and Jim depended on each other to survive bloodshed and despair in the Pacific. Relieved to put the horrors of war behind him, Jim went home to his apple orchard and a quiet life with his wife and children. Knowing Jim could never return his forbidden feelings, Cal hoped time and an ocean between them would dull the yearning for his best friend.
But when Jim’s wife dies, Cal returns to help. He doesn’t know a thing about apple farming—or children—but he’s determined to be there for Jim, even as the painful torch he carries blazes back to life...
