A great time to sell

Welcome to the latest newsletter from Flick & Son.  We have been poring over data released by various sources looking at the state of the housing market and comparing it with our own.
Our catchment area on the Suffolk Heritage Coast is showing healthy annual price growth, well above the national average.  Across our patch the average sold price registered with the Land Registry in the 12 months to the end of May this year rose by 6.8% compared to a national average increase reported by Zoopla this week of 2.75%.
Demand remains strong with many properties being sold much faster than in recent years.  This has led to a reduction of homes available although we are pleased to offer a wide selection in all our branches.
Clearly this strong demand coupled with steady price growth makes it a good time to get in touch if you are considering selling your property.
Flick & Son is the market leader for good reason.  Our unrivalled local knowledge of the area and its prevailing market conditions means our team can offer you the best advice on marketing your home at it’s optimum price.
Please get in touch for an appraisal of your property or drop in to any of our five branches for a chat.  We look forward to seeing you.

Market News

Official data from HMRC has shown a jump in residential property sales in the UK during June. Figures rose by 4.7% compared to May with the seasonally adjusted figure rising by 3.2% compared with June last year.

Analysts say one of the main reason for the increase in sales is because of a temporary disruption in the market in the lead-up to May's general election.

Research carried out by a removals company claims one in four people have at least one box that is never unpacked when they move home.

The survey by Kiwi Movers says most of us don't fully unpack for several months mainly because of the need to decorate, but the research reveals there is often a box where the contents remain untouched containing items such as sandwich makers and cocktail shakers.

More essential items such as kettles, phone chargers and bathroom equipment are normally first out of the box.
