No substitute for great customer service
Welcome to the latest newsletter from Flick & Son.
Regular subscribers may have noticed that we asked for participation in our occasional survey in last month’s newsletter.  The results are very useful to us in terms of how we’re doing and also finding out what you want from an
estate agent.
Even though the internet has transformed the way we buy, sell and let property, it is heartening to see from your responses that the vast majority still embrace the traditions that have kept Flick & Son in business through
the centuries.
When we asked respondents to rank what influences your choice of estate agent, customer service and knowledge of the local market have come out on top in both of the surveys we have carried out in the past few months.  It was considered more important than an agent charging the lowest commission or indeed the one that offers the most optimistic valuation.
This is music to our ears at Flick & Son where we pride ourselves on a personal and professional approach.  Our enthusiastic agents are all experts on the area and know how the market in and around Suffolk's Heritage Coast ticks very differently to elsewhere.
If you are thinking of selling or letting a property, it looks as if you already have a head start as around three-quarters of all respondents who live elsewhere say their main reason for wanting a home in these parts is our attractive location and countryside.
Please get in touch for a free no obligation valuation.  As market leaders, Flick & Son attracts more househunters to our mailing list than anyone else and our professional advice ensures your property can be presented to highest number of potential buyers.
A selection from our great range of available property to buy or rent is featured below.  We look forward to hearing from you.

Our survey champagne winner

Thank you to everyone who took part in last month's Flick & Son survey.

Congratulations to Paul Wood from near Bury St. Edmunds, who was drawn at random from the responses we received as the winner of a half case of Adnams champagne.

He also tells us that he and his wife are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year - an extra reason to raise a toast.  We hope you enjoy your anniversary and the champagne!

Property News

Buy to let rush boosts East housing market in March
Latest official figures show house prices in the East of England rose on average by 12.1% in the year to March, 3% higher than the UK average of 9%.

The East again saw the largest average increases outside London and the South East with the overall  house price index reaching record levels.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, UK prices rose by 2.5% between February and March, although experts believe this was largely due to increases in Stamp Duty costs in April.  We expect the market will be quieter for a while as a consequence.
