iPAD/LAPTOP DONATION - NEW
Do you have an iPad or a laptop that is sitting around waiting for a new home? There are many in our community for whom these luxuries are beyond the reach of everyday possibility. If you have the capacity to let it go, please consider donating it to us here at Birchcliff Bluffs United Church so that we can pass it along to a willing recipient. If you do, please contact Rev Greg Daly at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you.

The Toronto Field Naturalists have started a program called "Toronto Nature Now". Members of the TFN or other experts in their field volunteer to produce an audio with the assistance of CJRU 1280 at Ryerson University. To date they have 76 episodes. The most recent is about the 'Monarch Life Cycle and our Research at Rosetta McClain Gardens'. Most tapes are 5-10 minutes in length.
Want to learn more about nature, just tap into the resource at https://torontofieldnaturalists.org/about-tfn/tfn-on-your-am-dial/. Scroll down until you see CJRU The Scope at Ryerson - Toronto Nature Now Ep. 76: Monarch Life Cycle & Research. Click on it and you will have the experience of listening to my voice for about 10 minutes.
With wet weather moving in, you may have time to listen to as many episodes as you would like.
Even as we rest, the world continues. Butterfly season begins and our friend the Monarch Butterfly delights us and challenges us to remember to care for creation. Listen to their story as told to CJRU radio by Birchcliff Bluffs United Church and Toronto Field Naturalist member Betty McCulloch, part of a ongoing monitoring team that you may have seen at Rosetta McClain Gardens (last season in a pre-COVID time). Thank you Betty for this insightful interview.
