What's Happening at the Morro Bay Library This Month

News & HighlightsApril 2017

Hi <<First Name>>,

This month is National Volunteer Month dedicated to honoring all of the volunteers in our communities as well as encouraging volunteerism throughout the month. This April, I am happy to celebrate my 11th year of volunteer service to the Morro Bay Library and Morro Bay Friends of the Library. For anybody who knows me....they know how much I love libraries. Especially our Morro Bay Library. I feel like everytime I enter our library, I am being handed gifts.Ideas for Volunteering at the Library   I say this because I know that volunteering has so many great benefits like....making us healthier (great mood!), bringing people together (i.e., friendships, conversations and great discussions), providing opportunities for learning and growing; as well as, promoting a sense of community. I am grateful to this amazing staff for all they do for our community. I appreciate having tThought for the Dayhis opportunity to serve you each week. Thank you for attending the programs and continuing to support the Morro Bay Friends of the Library who raise funds on behalf of our Library's needs. Thank You!

Speaking of volunteering.....once again, I would like to thank and acknowledge Veda Freedman and Cindy Farrow for serving as Guest Group Facilitators of the Morro Bay Book Discussion Group last month. I know that everyone appreciated them as much as I did! Interested in Volunteering? If you think you might want to be a Guest Group Facilitator at some point, please contact me. I am always open to sharing this wonderful experience with you!

Morro Bay Book Discussion Group Survey Results are In! Thank you for taking the time to complete the two question survey last month. Overwhelmingly readers shared that they wanted to continue reading and discussing books the first two weeks of December (1st Wednesday Regular book discussion/2nd Wednesday - Mystery Readers Group)....so that is what we are going to do. Click on the emoji book club readers above for the upcoming season booklists...and.... to find out what we will be discussing this year!Breaking News
