Dear Prayer Partners,

Praise the Lord for great things He has done!

Our June travels were almost entirely devoted to Florida. We had the opportunity to attend the GMSA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), meeting representatives from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. We also had the pleasure of reporting to two of our supporting churches and doing pulpit supply in another church. In our travels we were able to visit family and friends, and had the special treat of visiting my first pastor and his wife. What a blessing. God is so good.

God has heard your prayers, and has answered them in several ways. During our trip to Florida, we learned that a supporting church on the West Coast had increased our support. Wonderful! We also are pleased to report that we picked up a new personal supporter in Florida. These increases gave us much encouragement as we approach our goal of 75% support by the end of the year. We also talked to our field and general directors about dropping our two youngest from our support needs (Mike is 20 years old and Steve is 18). Both of them are putting down roots here in Iowa and it is their desire to stay in Ankeny. Our landlord, in Ankeny, let us know that Mike is welcome to live here indefinitely, even after Steve moves out on his own in the future. The Mission board agreed to this change in our needs and, after these adjustments, our support level is a decimal point under 70%. With all of these adjustments the Board agreed to okay our going to language school in January. Praise the Lord!

We have not bought our plane tickets for Argentina yet, but things are looking good for the future. The Lord has done marvelous things in these past two years and His grace has sustained us through it all. Beloved, God has used your prayers and support to get us to this point and we crave your diligence to see us through to the end. There is still much that needs to be accomplished before we go to language school in Texas, and, oh yeah, we need to get through language school! Thanks for being there for us. We look forward to keeping you informed of our progress.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer,
Dave and Patti West

Please pray for Dave to have wisdom as he works on scheduling more meetings through the end of this year.  January starts a whole new step at Rio Grande Bible Institute and Missionary Language School in Edinburg, Texas.  However, Dave will also be working to schedule meetings between language school semesters in the summer months of next year.
