“As a state, we have worked diligently to establish a pro-growth business climate in Indiana and our efforts are being recognized across the nation. We cut costs, lowered taxes and reduced regulations to allow job creators to invest in what matters most – in their businesses and in their employees. Indiana is ranked first in the Midwest for business and first in the nation for small business regulations, but we’re not done yet. We must build on this economic momentum and increase collaboration between educators, community leaders, industry partners and most importantly, idea generators, to further propel innovation across the Hoosier state for generations to come.”

Governor Mike Pence

...if you're an innovator, you'll find new and expanded resources,
from business incubators to university partnerships,

Building on Indiana's Economic Momentum
Indiana's gears are turning. More Hoosiers are working than ever before, unemployment continues to drop and the state's labor force is at its largest size ever. With Indiana's $1 billion innovation and entrepreneurship plan, we'll keep that momentum in motion, advancing research, solutions and growth across Hoosier industries.
Indiana is an industry leader and is home to the highest concentration of manufacturing jobs in the nation. Today's manufacturing is high-tech and fast-paced, with innovative techniques changing the ways we build our world.
Indiana's life sciences industry contributes $62 billion to the state's economy and its exports rank second nationally. From medical devices to beyond, life science companies are looking to Hoosiers for the latest breakthroughs.
With top technology CEOs calling Indiana the "Silicon Valley of the Midwest," it's no wonder that the tech industry in central Indiana is adding jobs at a rate of 18 percent - three times faster than the national average.
Aerospace industry leaders like GE Aviation, Rolls-Royce, Alcoa and Raytheon are landing in Indiana, where they plan to create more than 1,200 new jobs. Meanwhile, Indiana's defense contracts have doubled since 2002, advancing research and innovation.
Agriculture contributes more than $31 billion to the state's economy and supports more than 107,000 Indiana jobs. Across the state, Hoosiers are advancing the ways we grow, harvest and produce resources used in all corners of the world.
