Keeping Kentville Connected
Kentville is #1! Richard Rogers, in his 2006  book Towns of Nova Scotia, Profiles and Ratings, rated Kentville as the number one town in which to live in Nova Scotia. The author spent four years researching the book and weighed strengths and weaknesses against a set of 14 criteria. Quality of water and sewage treatment were among the criteria, as were affordable housing and percentage of people employed. Way to go Kentville!

TV CREW TO RESUME DEMO IN KENTVILLE
Vancouver’s Force Four Entertainment (producers of CBC’s Village on a Diet and OWN’s Million Dollar Neighbourhood) will return to Kentville Feb  21st-24th to shoot new scenes for the socially transformative TV demo.  In the proposed series, a sample of Kentville residents will get a chance to see what life would look like without taxes.
HOW DOES IT WORK
In the series, participants are given a pooled sum of money that equate their taxes. In return, participating households will organize and manage their own services. If they beat the budget, participants stand to earn thousands of dollars and are entitled to additional rewards and incentives.

Join the conversation on taxes.  Attend the on camera rally at the TOWN HALL CHAMBERS on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 23rd @ 10am-2pm
This is where the show’s host will explain the rules of the social experiment.

A Dinner Theatre by David Landau and Nikki Stern
April 11 and 12 only!
Tickets $45: include dinner and entertainment!
Call 678-8040 for Reservations

It's a typical night at Judge Judy's Peoples Night court where audience members become plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses and jury in some of the most outlandishly funny law suits ever to double cross the bench. This hilarious dinner theatre comedy send up of all those TV court shows proves that some people really have a Contempt of Court.

Come join us for a delicious roast beef dinner, along with appetizers, soup and dessert, not your typical courtroom fare!  Wine and beer will be available for purchase. There will also be a silent auction. The tickets are $45 per person and a $20 receipt will be issued. The court will be in session beginning at 6:15 with appetizers at 6:30. Reservations can be made at 678-8040. If attending the current play, they can be obtained from Front of House at intermission.

All prices are for a monthly membership; there is no long contract length. All memberships include fully coached training sessions, nutrition plans, and health and fitness advice. Owners Iain Smith (coach) & Isobel Hamilton (admin) have been in business since July 2013.

The most important thing to them is that the clients get results, and they will help you whatever your goals. They offer a weight-loss guarantee, and every new member receives a one-week free trial.

"Highlander Strength & Fitness is the first gym I've joined in over a decade and it is also the first gym I've walked into with NO anxiety or feeling intimidated. None. Anything and everyone goes to this gym, and the guy that runs it sets the tone to get to work, have some laughs and every day is a new day to train and improve. I only go two hours a week and I've had some fantastic changes.  I think the Valley is lucky to have this new approach to fitness available!" ~Jill, Kentville
